Norwegian national was killed on Monday after being swept out to sea by strong waves at Batu Mejan Beach, popularly known as Echo Beach, in North Kuta, Bali.
North Kuta Police’s chief detective, First Insp. I Putu Ika Prabawa, said the victim had been identified as 19-year-old Jorgen Vikan. “His body was sent to Sanglah Hospital.”
Ika Prabawa said the incident happened at about 4 a.m. on Monday. After leaving the Sand Bar, Vikan and his friends went for a swim at the beach in front of the bar. “A strong wave swept them away and everybody except Vikan was saved.”
