span>Actress Marsha Timothy received a nomination for best actress at the prestigious Asian Film Awards for her role in Marlina si Pembunuh dalam Empat Babak (Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts), a film directed by Mouly Surya.
Marsha will vie against actresses Yu Aoi (Birds Without Names), Sylvia Chang (Love Education), Kim Min-hee (The Day After) and Zhou Dongyu (This Is Not What I Expected).
“I feel honored to be nominated for this award along with other top talents in Asia,” Marsha said in a statement.
The film Marlina also received nominations in three other categories: best cinematography, best production design and best sound.
The annual awards ceremony has been held by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society since 2007 to celebrate the best talents from the movie industry in Asia. In 2012, Indonesian actor Donny Damara won Best Actor for his role in Lovely Man.
