he Indonesian Engineer Union (PII) said it would carry out analysis on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) building, which saw its mezzanine floor collapse on Monday.
“It will cover several aspects, such as building design, construction and utilization,” PII deputy head Heru Dewanto said Tuesday as quoted by kompas.com.
Heru, however, did not say when the results of PII’s efforts would be made public, but said they could be used as a reference to improve building construction.
He added that PII was concerned about the accident and hoped the building management would provide assistance to all victims until they fully recovered.
The mezzanine floor of the IDX’s Tower 2 collapsed on Monday at around 12 p.m., causing injuries to 77 people. (wnd)
