T

he vocalist of pop band Noah, Nazril “Ariel” Irham, has revealed that the latest album his band was working on was expected to launch this year.

“Our target is to release the album in 2018,” Ariel said as quoted by kompas.com during an interview in Kemang, South Jakarta, on Wednesday.

Ariel said the project had been stalled for a year because of a technical glitch. He said he would write songs with bandmates Uki (guitar), Lukman (guitar) and David (keyboard) and that they would try to create a pop-alternative sound, instead of following the current trend.

“We want to go back to pop-alternative, like the music in 1995. We might use current technology for creating the sound, but the music concept will go in that direction,” he said.

Noah, formerly known as Peterpan, has released three albums, including Sings Legends in 2016.
