he Health Ministry has set up a clinic for haj pilgrims who have started traveling to Medina, Saudi Arabia, this week.

Ministry spokesperson Widyawati said the clinic’s facilities included in-patient wards, emergency facilities, a laboratory, pharmacy and ambulances.

“The clinic’s medical team is also ready [to serve haj pilgrims],” Widyawati wrote in a statement made available to The Jakarta Post on Monday.

The government has also distributed health campaign materials including 2,500 posters, 150 banners and 2,500 hand-held fans containing health messages.

The government team is also providing counseling to pilgrims, and is reminding them to look after their health by urging them not to forget to use umbrellas, masks and sun glasses when outdoors during the day.
