Man jumps from third floor of PIM 2, dies at hospital

A man reportedly jumped from the third floor of Pondok Indah Mall 2 (PIM 2) on Monday and died from his injuries at a local hospital.

eports say that visitors of Pondok Indah Mall 2 (PIM 2) in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, were shocked on Monday when a man suddenly fell from the third floor in an apparent suicide attempt.

“The incident occurred at 5:21 p.m. [He jumped] from the third floor [and fell] to the ground floor,” Kebayoran Lama Police chief Comr. Telly Alvin said as quoted by tribunnews.com.

The man was rushed to Pondok Indah Hospital but died shortly afterward from severe head injuries.

The police identified the man as APH, 40, from Bengkulu province, and said that his wife arrived at the hospital at around 8.35 p.m.

Police are still investigating the incident. (vla)
