478,000 visitors had entered the area since Tuesday until Saturday last week
Ancol Dreamland recreational park in Jakarta Bay saw an increase in visitors over the long Idul Fitri break.
The recreational complex’s spokesperson, Rika Lestari, said 478,000 visitors had entered the area since Tuesday until Saturday last week. The visitor numbers was a 5 percent increase from last year in the same period.
“In last year’s Idul Fitri holiday, we received 415,937 visitors,” she said as quoted by tempo.co.
Amusement park Fantasy Land (Dufan), Atlantis Water Adventures waterpark, Ocean Dream Samudra and SeaWorld theme park were the most visited places in the complex during the holiday.
Rika said the unchanged admission fee and several new features as well as other shows had contributed to the increase in visitors. The entry fee to the park is Rp 25,000 (US$1.76).
“We applied the same entry fee prior to the holiday,” she said.
Ancol Dreamland also held a musical concert on a floating stage during the holiday. (das)
