Indonesian shooter Sarah Ayu Tamaela stood out from the crowd as she notched up wins in the 2019 CZ Extreme Euro Open shooting competition in the Czech Republic from June 20 to 22.
Indonesian shooter Sarah Ayu Tamaela stood out from the crowd as she notched up wins in the 2019 CZ Extreme Euro Open shooting competition in the Czech Republic from June 20 to 22.
In the tournament, which was hosted by World Extreme Group, Sarah finished 26th in the overall result in the open category among 144 contestants. During the competition, she dominated the lady division as well as winning the Shoot Off Super Six battle.
In the Super Six, Sarah made the best score against secondplaced Lynda Turnbull of the United States and third-placed Czech Katka Sustrova.
In her Instagram account @sarahtml, the 20-year-old describes her journey at the Czech tournament as “tough” as she recorded a disappointing result in the first day.
“CZ EEO 2019, you were a tough mental game for me after my [expletive] show shooting on Day 1. Very grateful to be able to pull through on the next two days and very fortunate to be ranked first in the lady open category,” posted Sarah on her account.
Indonesia had eight shooters in the Czech tournament, which offered classic, open, standard, production, production optics and revolver divisions. Each division also featured a junior category (Under-21), super junior (U-16), lady, senior (over 50) and super senior (over 60) categories.
Aside from Sarah, the Indonesian squad also deployed Agungwaluya Yoshuara, Chintia Fajar Nevelona Leo Afandi, Iskak Budisiswanto, Jamin Trenggono, Richard Hendarmo, Yo Vigor and Zaenal Arief Wangsanegara.
