Invariably, if the Ukraine war is not given deeper consideration -- naturally, on how it must be resolved -- aggressive and pesky inflation will affect the whole of Europe and the world.
At the mid-point of 2022, the world is beset with some very serious problems. The lives and livelihoods of billions of people are at stake with generational impact.
What was originally touted as the year (i.e. 2022) by which the world would bounce back with even greater vigor than a deeply troubled 2021 is now entering a more vicious second half in 2022.
The outlook of the next world order -- due to supply-chain disruptions and further SARS-Cov-2 subvariants (2 Ss) -- demands an immediate cessation of violence to give every country in this world a respite to contemplate how to return to some sense of "new normal".
But truly, the world order has to claw its way back up from the depths of darkness. Perhaps one can abbreviate the problems as 3 Ps in order to repair the damages wrought on and by 2 Ss.
In the psychological realm, the suicide rate continues to climb. Between 1950 and 2019 -- this is prior to the onset of a full-blown pandemic declared on March 11, 2020 -- the statistics provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) showed progressive uptick in the number of suicides by 60 percent. In other words, more and more people, for various reasons, have chosen to end their earthly lives prematurely.
When the pandemic took at least 2 billion people back to extreme poverty, it goes without saying as shown by the World Bank in 2021 that the most vulnerable groups of people are bound to lose hope first.
