lila, the stylish hotel and resort chain managed by Commune Hotels & Resorts, has announced its plans to open a new hotel in Jakarta during the second quarter of next year.
Alila SCBD will be the company's third property in the capital, designed to accommodate young urbanites and business travelers with its convenient access to Jakarta's Financial District. Alongside 227 contemporary rooms and suites, Alila SCBD will also host the first Southeast Asian Hakkasan, Sake no Hana and the OMNIA luxury lifestyle brand stores.
Beyond Alila SCBD, the company plan to open five other properties in Cambodia, China and India throughout 2016.
Situated in the heart of the Zhejiang province, Alila Anji resembles a traditional Chinese village surrounded by bamboo groves and features 74 villas and suites and a spa with traditional Chinese medicine-inspired treatments. Alila Tianxi Lake, with 68 suites and 13 villas, boasts a contemporary golf course, cooking studio and herb garden, while Alila Yangshuo, originally a sugar mill, will have 118 rooms, suites and villas and feature an infinity-edged pool that connects to the Li River.
In Jaipur, India, guests of Alila Fort Bishangarh will discover a 230-year-old restored Rajasthan Fort on a granite hill in the Arvalli Mountain Range. The 59-suite heritage resort's unique Jaipur Gharana architecture was heavily influenced by both the Mughals and the British.
Last but not least, a 15-minute boat ride away from the Cambodian coast, Alila Villas Koh Russey, with its white-sand beaches and tropical forest, offers one and two-bedroom villas, each with its own terrace, private pool and garden.
In addition to the Alila properties, Commune Hotels & Resorts have announced plans to open a further 15 new properties across Asia by 2018, with a focus on China, India, Indonesia and Malaysia. (kes)
