ot many people know that Yogyakarta, specifically Kulon Progo regency, has an undiscovered tourist destination called Mudal River Park where visitors can enjoy water springs, waterfalls and a beautiful garden.

State-owned electricity company PLN helped in the park's creation by conducting a community development program and replanted 1,000 nutmeg trees in the park.
PLN also started a clean water program for 135 houses and built a place of worship.
Now, Mudal River Park welcomes more 500 people on weekdays and more than 3,000 people on weekends with an entrance fee of Rp 5,000 per person.
Apart from swimming in the water springs, there is also camping ground for those who want to camp and an orchid garden for educational tourism. (asw)
