fter Times Square in New York, the US, and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, the Wonderful Indonesia brand also travels to the Dubai Mall, the UAE, the largest mall in the world.

Located in the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, the area is the most visited place by local and foreign tourists.

“The mall, Burj Khalifa and dancing fountains are visited by 90 million people every year,” said Arief Yahya on the reason why the promotional material of Indonesian tourism is being showcased there.

The mall has more than 1,200 shopping outlets including two main department stores: Galleries Lafayette and Bloomingdale’s, and has more than 200 restaurants.

The ads will be put on an ice rink, 170 units of lift lobbies, 109 store directories, 20 units of link bridges, four units of grand drive screens, 14 units of metro link Screens and 25 units of food court screens from May 1 up to 18.

The ads show images of Nusa Penida in Bali, Tiu Kelep in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), tea gardens in West Java, Tanjung Aan in Lombok, Gili Trawangan in Lombok and places in Jakarta.

The recent visit of Saudi Arabian King Salman has resulted in an increase in the number of tourists coming from the Middle East. (asw)
