Sabang hosts Weh Island Night Carnival
The main goal of this event is to bring together cultures, history and Acehnese modernity in the form of an art and culture show.

abang is holding Weh Island Night Carnival on Nov. 29. For this event, the town is painted in bright colors and the trees are decorated with lamps.
The main event will be located in the town’s plaza and will present 30 shows such as modeling competition, fashion show, art car parade, marching band, barongsai, live music, Saman Breakdance and Sabilillah War Dance.
The main goal of this event is to bring together cultures, history and Acehnese modernity in the form of an art and culture show.
Several cultural arts curators are also involved in Weh Island Night Carnival.
“Our target is to make this event an annual event thus the Tourism Ministry can also see the result of our effort in supporting the event. This event will also help improving the tourism industry and economy of the locals,” told the ministry's head of cultural promotion Wawan Gunawan.
Moreover, Sabang is currently hosting Sail Sabang 2017 that runs from Nov. 28 to Dec. 5.
Sabang is located geographically close to Malaysia and Thailand. It's the main entrance of Strait of Malacca and has the best port similar to the Port of Tanjung Priok. (kes)
