The sky in Wonosobo, Central Java, was filled with colorful hot air balloons on Nov. 26.
The exhibition of 40 hot air balloons has long been a tradition of the regency.
“It’s a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation and has become the identity of Wonosobo; even the official logo of the regency is a hot air balloon,” told Wonosobo Tourism Agency head One Andang Wardoyo.
To avoid disrupting airplanes that are flying above Wonosobo, these hot air balloons only flew 25 meters above the ground and were tied to the ground using ropes.
From Wonosobo, people can marvel at Mount Sindoro-Sumbing and Mount Merpapi – Merbabu.
