wo United States citizens have been arrested for reportedly showcasing their buttocks in front of a Thai Buddhist temple and posting a picture of it on their social media account.
According CBS, the two Americans maintained a social media account named “Travelling Butts.” A picture of the two American men consisted of them pulling their pants down at the Wat Arun Temple in Bangkok.

Having been widely shared, the picture sparked criticism among Thai’s Buddhist-majority citizens.
Despite a following of 14,000 people, the mens’ “Travelling Butts” Instagram account has been deleted in the midst of the controversy. The two men were arrested in Bangkok’s airport on a Tuesday night.
The two men – Joseph Dasilva and Travis Dasilva – were fined 5,000 baht (U$153) by the police, as noted by Reuters. Awaiting any further charges, they were placed in the immigration detention center. (ezr/kes)
