The additional flights coded GA 270 are scheduled daily at 6 a.m. The service uses a Bombardier CRJ 1000 that can accommodate 96 passengers.
"The promising tourism in Banyuwangi encouraged us to support it through this additional flight frequency," said the airline's vice president corporate secretary M. Ikhsan Rosan in a statement, adding that the move was in line with the national flag carrier's commitment to support the government's effort to increase the investment potential in the tourism sector, especially in Banyuwangi.
