pproximately 3,200 security personnel have been deployed to safeguard Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's visit to the House of Representatives complex in Senayan.

The security personnel come from the Jakarta Police, Jakarta Military Command (Kodam), House's security (Pamdal), Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres) and the Saudi Arabia Kingdom.

The area where King Salman will get out of his car and the path he will walk on to reach the House's plenary building has been blocked off. No one can pass through the area except the king, his aides and VIP guests.

No media, except photographers and camera people, are allowed to enter the plenary hall to cover the event, which will feature a 10-minute speech by the king. The House will broadcast a live report of what is going on inside the hall on a number of televisions outside the plenary hall.

"This is a procedure from Paspampres. The area must be clear. It's the same as the annual state speech by the President on Independence Day every August 17," said House security personnel.

The King is set to arrive at the House at 1 p.m. and will stay there for about 30 minutes before leaving for Istiqlal Mosque, where he will conduct a prayer with President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo. (ary)
