YouTube FanFest returns to Jakarta

obile phone maker Vivo, in collaboration with JD.id and official partner AXIS, organized the third edition of the YouTube FanFest Jakarta for the third time, following its recent successes in Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Bandung.

More than 20 local and international YouTube stars assembled on the YouTube FanFest Jakarta stage on Nov. 10-12 to entertain their Indonesian fans at the Sheraton Grand Ballroom and Gandaria City Mall Atrium.

YouTube stars such as 1Million Dance Studio, Matt Steffanina, Ranz Kyle and Niana Guerrero met with thousands of their fans in Jakarta.

Popular creators like Raditya Dika, Weird Genius, SkinnyIndonesian24, Ria Ricis, Young Lex, Agung Hapsah, Arief Muhammad & Tiara Pangestika, Aulion, Bayu Skak, Eka Gustiwana, Gen Halilintar and Hanin Dhiya also joined the festival to entertain their fans.

Meanwhilwe, top musicians like Tulus, Virgoun, Armada, Kunto Aji, and Anji enlivened this year’s YouTube FanFest.

Starting this year, the event has been expanded to other cities beyond Jakarta through the YouTube Showcase. The YouTube Showcase, which made successful rounds to Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Bandung, aims to provide a chance for local creators to showcase their talents and to collaborate with to creators in sharing the experience of their fellow creators in Jakarta.

Google Indonesia’s Consumer Marketing head Fibriyani Elastria said, “The number of YouTube creators has been growing, especially in other regions like Java, Sulawesi and Papua. They create content and attract audiences through the platform. That’s why YouTube FanFest was developed to provide opportunities for both local and international creators to showcase their talents, celebrate their achievements and entertain their loyal fans in Jakarta.”

Vivo Smartphone, the official smartphone of the YouTube FanFest 2017, enthusiastically supported the program, which involves many creative young people with a passion for technological innovations.

PT Vivo Mobile Indonesia digital manager Fachryansyah Farandy said, “Collaboration with YouTube FanFest pursues the goal that Vivo Smartphone wants to achieve: reaching more creative and energetic young people who are open to self-actualization and self-expression.”

He added that many creative YouTube creators used just their smartphones to maximize their creative talents and post their work on social media and YouTube.
