PT LG Electronics Indonesia (LG) has launched the LG QNED Mini LED TV, a technological breakthrough in the LCD TV category.

According to LG Electronics Indonesia product director of home entertainment Hoony Bae, the LG QNED Mini LED TV is proof of LG’s commitment to innovation for its consumers.

The LG QNED Mini LED TV brings image reproduction to the limelight thanks to LG’s Quantum Dot NanoCell and Mini LED technologies. Where the NanoCell is known for its color reproduction capabilities, the Mini LED is further developed in backlight compared to its predecessors.

Utilizing smaller LED lamps compared to typical LCD LED TVs, the Mini LED system allows for a denser and more uniform backlight to fill up the screen. At the same time, the high number of lamps provide a richer color and more accurate details.

“The high number of LEDs behind the systems enables a more precise lighting control, which can be enjoyed by consumers in the form of richer colors and more detail compared to previous generation LCD LED TVs,” Hoony said.

He also explained that the smaller LEDs could result in a contrast ratio 10 times better than previous generation LED LCD TVs, along with clearer details on dark areas that allows for more dramatic colors, a claim that has been tested and verified by testing institution Intertek.

Intertek’s test showed that the LG QNED Mini LED TV can show the full 100 percent Color Gamut Volume (CGV) in the DCI-P3 color space. The same test also highlights the LG QNED Mini LED TV’s ability to remove color distortion on widescreen angles to ensure the best LCD picture quality from any angle.

Alongside image quality, the LG QNED Mini LED TV also brings audio quality to the table with Dolby Laboratories’ Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos technologies. The former adjusts the image based on content genre and surrounding environment, while the latter provides a multidimensional surround sound.

Beyond movies and TV shows, the Sport Alert feature allows viewers to keep up with matches through reminders before, during and after the results have been announced, even though they are watching other content on the screen.

Gamers will also find the Game Optimizer feature to be particularly useful, as the TV will automatically apply the best image settings according to the game’s genre, be it first-person shooter, role-playing or real-time strategy.

Completing the user experience is the latest version of the webOS operating system, which is used as the platform for LG’s Smart TVs. The user interface allows faster access to apps, easier content searching and personalized recommendations based on the viewer’s preferences. The Magic Remote has also been redesigned with a special hotkey dedicated for the viewer’s favorite content, enabling easy switching with the push of a button.

The LG QNED Mini LED TV range is available in both 8K and 4K resolutions, with the option of a 75-inch screen with the 75QNED96TPA and 65-inch through the 65QNED96TPA. Meanwhile, the Ultra HD 4K resolution is equipped with a 65-inch screen with the 65QNED91TPA model. All models are available at electronics stores in Indonesia as well as LG’s official stores on e-commerce platforms.
