P

ower Commerce Asia recently announced it had obtained fresh funding from PT Interport Mandiri Utama, a subsidiary of PT Indika Energy and PT Satria Antaran Prima (SAP Express).

“Our commitment is to provide solutions for the industry in transforming from conventional businesses into digital companies, strengthening the digital capabilities of talents and HR as well as optimizing the logistics infrastructure and technology platforms, so that companies can adapt to future developments in digital innovation," said Power Commerce Asia founder and CEO Hadi Kuncoro, after thanking PT SAP Express and PT Interport Manditi Utama for their contribution.

The e-commerce industry is expected to grow more rapidly than projected. People are starting to realize the benefits offered by the industry, particularly efficiency, and are thus driving growth among sellers, consumers and the industry as a whole.

“In the midst of the growing competition within the e-commerce industry, Power Commerce Asia has come with the concept of omnichannel e-commerce and supply chain management, which we believe will be the answer to the problems often faced by e-commerce industry players, especially [in] logistics. Therefore, we did not hesitate to be a part of Power Commerce Asia’s journey”, said Interport Mandiri Utama vice president director Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, who is also on the Board of Commissioners of Power Commerce Asia.

Power Commerce Asia plans to bring about change in terms of brand governance, corporate value, technological innovations and synergistic collaboration with its strategic partners. Over the past three years, the company has continued to experience significant growth of up to 132 times compared to the previous period. From its start-up phase, the company progressed to becoming a smart-up company and has now entered the scale-up phase.

“SAP Express has 209 warehouse points spread across the country. We believe that Power Commerce Asia can collaborate and realize a better and more integrated digital logistics ecosystem and solution,” said SAP Express president director Budiyanto Darmastono.

SAP Express had collaborated with Power Commerce Asia in the past, he added, and believed that the new partnership would help ease the potential operation burdens that may come from challenges in the industry.

Data as of the end of 2021 showed that Power Commerce Asia’s transaction volume grew 28 times while also recording growth in average monthly transaction volume. Moreover, the number of buyers grew 26 times, product sales grew 24 times and the net merchandise value (NMV) grew 22 times. The company also improved twelvefold in average monthly sales, while manpower demand grew up to four times the previous figure.

These improvements marked a new era for Power Commerce Asia as it expanded its headquarters in Jakarta. The company logo has also evolved to symbolize four major values: connected, magnify, integrated and unity. The new logo aims to represent Power Commerce Asia as a pioneer in providing integrated solutions for omnichannel platforms.
