GoTo Highlights Indonesia’s Digitalization Potential at China E-Commerce Exhibition Representing Indonesia's interest: Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce China Committee Garibaldi Thohir, and Chief of Public Policy and Government Relations at GoTo Ade Mulya at the China E-Commerce Exhibition in Fuzhou.

rom March 18th until the 20th, tech giant GoTo, Indonesia’s largest digital ecosystem, proudly represents Indonesia at the China E-Commerce Exhibition.

Showcasing its commitment to support the Indonesian government’s effort in showcasing the country’s technological expertise and innovation, GoTo’s participation is aimed to increase international awareness regarding Indonesia's capabilities, attract further interest in Indonesia, and enhance investment opportunities that can benefit all Indonesian citizens.

Commenting on their participation, Ade Mulya, Chief of Public Policy and Government Relations at GoTo, stated the following.

"GoTo continues to support the Indonesian Government’s efforts towards digitalization and the acceleration of the digital economy, especially for our millions of merchants, the majority of whom are MSMEs. GoTo’s involvement in this event is an opportunity for GoTo to further highlight the potential of Indonesia's digital economy as well as the GoTo ecosystem’s positive impact, particularly to the international audience."

With their mission being to “empower progress” through providing technological infrastructure and solutions that aid anyone to access and thrive in the digital economy, GoTo brought their diverse offerings to solidify their commitment.

Showcasing a variety of innovations from GoTo’s extensive roster of business units; being Gojek, GoTo Financial, and its strategic partner, Tokopedia, GoTo highlighted the economic and social impact that their ecosystem has provided to their stakeholders at their exhibition area.

One example of GoTo’s economic and social impact is found in a 2023 survey by the Institute for Economic and Social Research, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (LPEM FEB UI). The study found that GoTo’s integrated ecosystems have enabled stakeholders to improve financial inclusion and obtain a better standard of living.

Additionally, GoTo also emphasized its Three Zeros commitment to reducing its environmental impact across all of its ecosystems. Under their Three Zeros commitment umbrella, GoTo aims to achieve Zero Emissions, Zero Waste, and Zero Barriers by 2030.

GoTo outlines that this commitment will be realized through engaging their various stakeholders and ensuring added value in every GoTo activity. With GoTo executing a slew of initiatives each year, such as reducing direct and indirect emissions, diverting their waste from landfills and the environment, or eliminating growth barriers within their company and ecosystem, GoTo continually strives to approach “zero”.

Having over 2.7 million driver partners and 17 million merchants within their growing ecosystem, GoTo serves over 58 million users and has successfully recorded 63.8 million Annual Transacting Users (ATU), across their Gojek, Tokopedia, and GoTo Financial platforms in Indonesia annually.

Regarding GoTo’s inclusion in the exhibition, Indonesian Ambassador to China, Djauhari Oratmangun said, "We are proud of GoTo Group's participation in the Indonesia Pavilion, which showcases the progress of the digital economy in Indonesia. GoTo Group’s support and assistance contributes to the improvement of ties between the Chinese and Indonesian governments."

Outside of Indonesia, the company is steadily strengthening its presence internationally by introducing GoTo’s convenient solutions to countries such as Singapore and Vietnam.
