Indonesia will elect its new president and vice president on Feb. 14, 2024. To win the hearts and minds of voters, the three candidate pairs have released their work programs and have spoken about their priorities during the first debate on Dec. 13 and the second on Dec. 22.

Since health care is a vital determinant for the prosperity of a country and a rudimentary human need, how our future leader will carry the national health service for the next five years should be considered by the electorate impartially.

Parallel with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which highlights the great potential of developing information, communications, technology and global interconnectedness to accelerate human and societal progress, the World Health Organization has been pushing all countries around the world to have a sustainable digital health plan.
