he National Police's Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) is now building a criminal case on the alleged leak detailing a forthcoming Constitutional Court ruling that was expected to reverse the current system of open and direct legislative elections.

The National Police spokesperson Insp. Gen. Sandi Nugroho said in a statement issued on Friday that police investigators had received complaints on the alleged leak and the possible involvement of former deputy law minister Denny Indrayana in the case.

"Currently, we're looking into the allegation and investigators from Bareskrim are conducting a probe," Sandi said.

Sandi was quoted by Tempo news portal explaining that police investigators received complaints against Denny, who runs the Instagram account @dennyindrayana99 and Twitter account @dennyindrayana and is alleged to have spread fake news directed toward the government and leaked government secrets.

The police spokesman also noted that complainants in the case handed over a screen grab of Denny's social media statement and a flash disk as evidence.
