school for underprivileged children established by Yuni Shara in Batu, East Java, has become so popular that the singer is forced to reject students wanting to enroll.
The Cahaya Permata Abadi school, which consists of a playgroup, a kindergarten and a day care center, costs only Rp 2,500 (less than half a US dollar) per visit.

Yuni said she was concerned about child education in Batu, her birthplace. “The school was initially only a playgroup, but later expanded into a kindergarten with three classes,” Yuni was quoted as saying by kompas.com on Sunday.
She added that the school provided various activities, such as drums, vocal coaching and traditional dance.
“I keep thinking of ways to enlarge the school so that all children who want to join will be able to do so," said the sister of Indonesian diva Krisdayanti. (kes/wir)
