ow-cost carrier AirAsia has announced its sponsorship of a Korean drama revolving around romance between aviation crew members.

Starring Lee Sang-Yoon and Kim Ha-Neul, On the Way to the Airport follows the romantic relationships of several 30-something pilots and cabin crew members who work for AirAsia. As part of the sponsorship, all scenes related to the aviation industry or taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, are supported by AirAsia and the country's tourism board.

In conjunction with the debut episodes, AirAsia is giving away prizes, including aircraft miniatures signed by Park Ji-Sung, the airline's brand ambassador for South Korea.

The first episode of On the Way to the Airport aired on Sept. 22 and a re-run will reportedly be broadcast on the KBS television network on Sept. 29. (kes)
