British luxury sports car manufacturer Aston Martin launched the new Vantage design in late November.

Set to be delivered in the second quarter of 2018, Vantage is the manufacturer’s highly acclaimed model.

In the new Vantage, fans of the sports car will discover several differences, especially in its aerodynamic performance. According to a press release, the new Vantage’s front splitter was designed to direct airflow underneath the car, where a system of fences channel cooling air, ensuring the rear diffuser is filled with clean airflow.

Meanwhile, the diffuser was specifically designed to create an area of low pressure air, which helps to prevent turbulence generated by the rear wheels from disrupting the flow of air exiting centrally from beneath the rear of the car.

The 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine car is also equipped with an Electronic Rear Differential (E-Diff), which links to the car’s electronic control system.

Creating a worthy successor has been a challenge to relish and a huge source of motivation. I’m enormously excited by what we’ve created: a new Vantage that’s more explicit in looks and intent, wrapping heart-pounding performance and dazzling dynamics into an everyday usable package.”

Aston Martin's new Vantage is currently on sale with a recommended retail price starting from US$149,995 in the United States. (kes)
