andung-based vocal trio Rida Sita Dewi (RSD) brought nostalgia for 90s music to their fans at a concert titled Kapsul Waktu (Time Capsule) at the auditorium of Galeri Indonesia Kaya, Central Jakarta, on Saturday.

The group consisting of Rida Farida, Indah Sita Nursanti and Dewi Lestari performed 10 popular tracks from their albums, including Antara Kita (Between Us), Bertiga (Three of Us), Satu (One) and The Best of Rida Sita Dewi. Among the songs were “Masih Ada” (Still There), “Kepadamu” (To You) and “Kusadari” (I Realize).

“[Our performance] this afternoon answered the question we often get, ‘When will RSD sing together again? I miss them, it’s been a long time since I saw them on stage’ and other similar questions we often hear,” said Sita in a press release.

Kapsul Waktu was an opportunity for the group to reunite as the members have been busy with their own activities: Rida now works as a vocal teacher as well as a soloist; Sita actively performs in theater and in TV series; and Dewi focuses on writing books and songs.

Back in the 2000s the trio decided to disband following each member's hectic personal schedules. But the three later reunited to sing “Langit Amat Indah” (The Sky is So Beautiful) for the soundtrack of the 2012 film Perahu Kertas (Paper Boat) that was based on one of Dewi’s novel. (kes)
