Nineties festival to return to Jakarta in August

Initiated by Ismaya Live and the Generasi 90an community, Festival Mesin Waktu is to feature several entertainment zones related to the era, from music and TV series to foods and games.

festival that celebrates the best things from the 1990s is to return for a second time on Aug. 17 at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

Initiated by Ismaya Live and the Generasi 90an community, Festival Mesin Waktu (Time Machine Festival) is to feature several entertainment zones related to the era, from music and TV series to foods and games.

The Zona Musik (music zone) is to present local performers like Dewa19 with Ari Lasso & Dul Jaelani, Glenn Fredly, P-Project, Rida Sita Dewi and the 1990s Boyband Project; the Zona Nonton (film zone) is to showcase popular 1990s scenes from sinetron (soap operas), TV series, music videos and commercials; the Zona Main (play zone) is to feature game consoles from the old days, as well as traditional games; finally, the Zona Jajan (snack zone) is to sell various foods familiar to those who went to school in the 1990s. 

"You will strongly feel the nostalgic sensation of the '90s in the zones that we have prepared," said Ismaya Live brand manager Sarah Deshita in a statement.

Tickets for the festival are currently available for Rp 250,000 (US$17.68) (excluding taxes) and can be purchased online at festivalmesinwaktu.com and http://blib.li/FMW. (ayr/kes)
