he establishment of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Nusantara (Museum MACAN) has brought more Jakartans to the west side of the city.
However, those unfamiliar with West Jakarta, and without private transport, might worry that finding a ride could be difficult.
While the museum is within walking distance of Kebon Jeruk TransJakarta shelter, apparently it is also easy to find app-based rides from there.
To ensure convenient transport from the museum, especially during the Yayoi Kusama exhibition set to open soon, Museum MACAN has begun a partnership with ride-hailing app Grab.
The museum announced on Monday that Grab was their official mobile platform partner for 2018. Aaron Seeto, director of Museum MACAN, said he believed the mobile platform would make it easier to visit the museum.
“We feel connected to Museum MACAN, considering that both institutions share a common vision and values. In line with Grab’s brand DNA as a connector, we aspire to help connect art lovers from all walks of life with Kusama’s artworks,” said Mediko Azwar, marketing director of Grab Indonesia.

There will be a Grab pick-up point in the lobby of Museum MACAN, marked by an artistic totem. The mobile platform has also hinted at exhibition ticket giveaways through Grab orders and GrabRewards points redemption.
During the Yayoi Kusama: Life is the Heart of a Rainbow exhibition, slated to run from May 12 to September 9, Grab will also hold related contests via their social media channels.
