Actor Torro Margens passes away at 68

The late Torro Margens was known for playing the antagonist in a number of films and soap operas.

Veteran actor and director Torro Margens passed away at 12:45 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, at the age of 68.

News about his passing was announced by his son Toma Margens on his Instagram account. “Please have forgiveness for any mistakes that my father made,” he wrote referring to his father’s private Instagram account.

According to kompas.com, the funeral will take place in Sukabumi, West Java.

Born in July 1950, Torro Margens is known for playing the antagonist in a number of Indonesian films and sinetron (soap operas). Among movies that he starred in are Night Bus, Tendangan dari Langit (A Kick from the Sky) and Love for Sale. He also hosted the horror TV show Gentayangan. (wir/wng)
