kate shoe brand Vans and British fashion house Vivienne Westwood are teaming up for a capsule collection of shoes that blend their respective aesthetics.
The audacious punk-tinged collection presented by Vans and Vivienne Westwood for Autumn 2019 will offer six of the skateboard brand’s most iconic models as interpreted by the British fashion house, which inflected the sneakers with a sense of grunge, alongside its signature prints and patterns.
The Vans x Vivienne Westwood Anglomania collection includes two new versions of Vans’ Sk8-Hi.
First off, a more classic interpretation in beige vegan leather with a leather outer sole, with a postage stamp with the date of the capsule’s launch and an engraving of the handwritten address for the Vivienne Westwood flagship boutique at 44 Conduit St. in London.

The second version is a platform shoe that pays homage to the couture house’s famous Pirate boot, in an all-black colorway with a beige-buckled strap.
The Checkerboard Slip-On is also part of the collection, combining the classic Vans pattern with some larger squares, as well as Westwood’s Destroy motif.
The collaboration is rounded out by reworks of Vans’ famous 53 model, a moccasin-style slip-on, as well as the Old Skool and Authentic.
All of the creations will be available from Sept 20 in a selection of retailers and boutiques around the world, as well as online (vans.com and viviennewestwood.com).
