"HANDPICKED: 100 Artists Selected by the Saatchi Gallery" will be open for bidding from May 12 through 28.

"HANDPICKED" will feature 100 works by emerging artists from the Saatchi Gallery collection, with estimates ranging from £1,000  £15,000 (around $1,240 to $18,500).

"Each piece has been selected to reflect the Saatchi Gallery's role in cultivating artists at the beginning of their career, providing insight into one of the most prestigious international collections," Christie's said of the sale in a statement.

Although the house has yet to release the entire catalogue for the sale, "HANDPICKED" will offer pieces by Peter Davies, Sigrid Holmwood, Davidto Brian Smith, Maria Farrar and Julia Wachtel.

An additional highlight of the auction is Mequitta Ahuja's "Autocartography I," which has been in the collection of Saatchi Gallery since 2013.

This painting draws upon Ahuja's African American and Indian American roots, while combining flashes of self-portraiture in a process that the artist names "autocartography."

"My aim as an artist is to engage in the conversation about representation that has been going on for millennia. By combining ideas sourced from outside of the Western canon with large format oil painting, I weave my complex cultural experience into the history of art," Ahuja said of her practice.

"Autocartography I" is believed to fetch between £12,000 and £18,000 (around $14,800 and $22,200) -- an estimate far from Ahuja's current auction record of £60,000.

This record price was set this past February for "Rhyme Sequence: Jingle Jangle," which went well above its high pre-sale estimate of £8,000 during Christie's "First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art" online sale.

"HANDPICKED" will mark the fourth edition in a series of collaborative auctions that Christie's has been holding in conjunction with the Saatchi Gallery over the years.

"Over several decades The Saatchi Gallery has played a key role in supporting new talent, inspiring collectors, curators and gallerists alike, and this is an opportunity to gain insight into their collecting strategy and acquire a piece of their unique art history," Christie's said in a statement.

"HANDPICKED" is one of the several online-only sales that will run throughout the months of April and May, with each timed auction ranging from 14 to 21 days.

These newly-scheduled auctions will offer collectors the opportunity to acquire masterworks across numerous collecting categories, including 20th Century art, Asian Art, Decorative Arts as well as Jewels, Watches and Handbags.

Among them are "Andy Warhol: Better Days" that Christie's will host from April 28 through May 6 in collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
