BALIKPAPAN, East Kalimantan: Cody Crocker, with navigator Sean Gelael of Serge Rally Team, led the opening day of the National Rally Championship in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, on Saturday.
Asia Pacific champion Cody clocked the best time of 51 minutes and 43.33 seconds on the opening day, which incorporated six special stages.
National champion Rifat Sungkar, teaming up with navigator Bill Hayes, trailed in second place in a time of 53 minutes and 44.65 seconds.
Rizal Sungkar and Anthony Sarwono followed in third place in a time 54 minutes and 8.36 seconds. --JP/Nurni Sulaiman
