AKARTA: PT Kereta Api's trial run of the electric train running from Tanjung Priok Station to Ancol Station Sunday hit a snag as one of the high-voltage wire broke.
The incident happened at 9:40 a.m. when the eight-car electric train was undergoing a trial run.
"I saw sparks from one part of the wire and suddenly the wire broke," said Sugito, a duty officer in charge of the railway maintenance at Tanjung Priok Station, as quoted by kompas.com.
Sugito said the broken wire had not been used since the electric train stopped running in 2000.
