SMS: SBY victory

Your comments on the landslide victory of incumbent President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in the July 8 election as shown by results of quick counts organized by a number of survey organizations.

SBY is the right man to be the number one. He has been very good at his job, particularly in fighting against corruption. Well done Bapak President SBY.

Salute to SBY in gaining people's support to lead the country for the next five year. Before moving on, I think it is necessary to review moments of the campaign (your winning team, the ads), the debates, various comments from elites and opponents, people's voices, issues regarding electoral roll, etc, to see what could have been done better. The feedback will be a good reference to run your administration.

The victory of SBY shows that the people still hope that he will continue his popular programs like cash assistance (BLT), microcredits, free schools, etc.

Congratulations to all Indonesians for such a peaceful election. I saw SBY and Boediono on TV and think that both know what they are going to do next.

So fellow Indonesians, let's do our share to make Indonesia a better place to live in.

The SBY and Boediono have been elected by the people with a landslide victory.

A deciding factor leading to this success is their commitment to execute a clear and rational mission, vision and program. SBY-Boediono's priority should be simply to fulfil their promises.

In the general elections both in 2004 and 2009, SBY won more than 60 percent of votes irrespective of his running mate. This means the contribution from the running mates was inconsequential and SBY won both the elections with big margins on his own steam. I wonder whether the contribution of Wiranto was substantial in the 10 percent votes that were won by JK-Wiranto ticket. Viva SBY!

The SBY-Boediono victory is an Indonesian triumph. Keep up the good work on corruption eradication, economic development and national security.

We should run free market principles in our nation. Others are important, but this one is a huge bargain for next five years. It will benefit the prosperity of all people.

SBY, if he becomes president, must prioritize the economy, not only to boost growth, but what is more important is to improve our welfare and lift the poverty of around 40 millions Indonesians, who still live below the poverty line. He has to focus on small enterprise and empowerment programs.

Second, SBY must take firm action against Lapindo Brantas. Can you imagine, if your house has been flooded by mud for three years and you're not sure when you receive compensation, not sure about your future?

Law and justice must be upheld, the Lapindo case must be brought to the court, despite the fact that it is owned by a minister in your cabinet.

SBY must guarantee rights and protection for those who are marginalized, for our migrant workers abroad. Corruption eradication must be put in, in his agenda, we hope that SBY and Boediono can create clean governance and get rid of corruption.

SBY should intensify his corruption eradication.

First of all, Congratulations to SBY, who was re-elected as the Pre-sident of Indonesia. I have some concerns that many people are still not able to send their children to schools and cannot afford health services. I think the government need to assist them. I believe if you have good program in these sectors, Our country will become among the developed countries in Asia.

First and foremost, SBY must ensure plurality! Every Indonesian must be free to believe or not to. It is the law we must obey, not any noisy zealot's opinion. Remember, we voted for you, we trusted you. Don't betray our trust!

Priorities for his second term include education, eliminating petty corruption like payments to police and public transport improvement.
