AKARTA: Minister of Transportation Jusman Syafii Djamal said Wednesday the government will issue a letter of guarantee the airport-train project's land acquisition following the bidders' request.

"The government will produce the letter of guarantee," Jusman was quoted as saying by tempointeraktif.com.

Three companies participating in the tender, PT Railink of Indonesia, Mitsui of Japan, China Harbour of China, have asked the government to ensure there would be no problem in the land acquisition process in the railway project that will connect Jakarta and the Soekarno-Hatta International Aiport in Tangerang, Banten Province.

Jusman claimed Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah and Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo had agreed to lend their support in the land acquisition process that will affect mangrove forest and densely populated areas under their administrations.
