AKARTA: Lion Air and Bank Bukopin struck a strategic cooperation allowing the airline's passengers to pay their airfares through the bank's 334 automated teller machines across the country, the airline said in a media statement Friday.
"The payment of airfares through Bank Bukopin's ATMs is aimed to facilitate our customers in efficient, on time, safe and convenient ways," the airlines said.
The cooperation was marked by the signing of an agreement between Lion Air finance director Yunita Sastrasanjaya and Bank Bukopin consumer director Lamira S. Parwedi.
Yunita said the cooperation was one of Lion Air's commitments to improve its pre-flight service.
Previously, the airline forged similar cooperations with several other banks such as BII, BNI, BRI, Mandiri, Niaga and Permata
Yunita expects the cooperation to extend Lion Air's customer base due to Bank Bukopin's wide network.
