NDONESIA: Venezuela is sending a 20-member-strong business delegation to Indonesia to explore investment and trade opportunities, the Venezuelan Embassy's new Charge d' Affaires, Nydia M. Rangel Cardenas, said in Jakarta on Friday.
"It will be our first trade mission to Indonesia," Nydia told The Jakarta Post.
The group will arrive in Jakarta on Sunday.
"The delegation comprises 13 companies and two governmental agencies representing different sectors such as oil and gas, plastics, chemicals, food, telecommunications etc," Bancoex trade promotion director Mirtha Quintero said.
Bancoex, Venezuela's foreign trade bank, in cooperation with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), will hold a workshop on Monday and a seminar on Tuesday as well as business-to-business meetings. All events are scheduled to take place at the Hotel Gran Melia Jakarta.
