Hang Nadim alternative landing port for A380s

BATAM, Riau Islands: Qantas Airlines of Australia and Emirates airlines of Dubai will make Hang Nadim International Airport in Batam their alternative landing port for their Airbus A380s in case of emergency, says a local authority.

Elfi Amir said that in the event the fleet could not land at Changi Airport in Singapore, Hang Nadim would be the alternative over Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta because of its close distance. - JP
