Eross and his pregnant wife Sarah Diorita took refuge at his mother’s house last month.

“My house was covered in ashes,” he said as quoted by inilah.com. “We panicked for a moment. But even before the ash clouds came we were already prepared,” Sarah said.

“There’s only two of us in our house, so we decided to stay at my mother’s place instead. We had already packed clothes to take with us in the car, even before the status was changed to top alert,” Eross said as quoted by inilah.com.

“We were worried about staying at our place, because of the ashes and the smell of sulfur,” Sarah went on.

Eross added he now missed his home. The couple does not have plans to return to their house until it is completely safe for them to do so. —  JP
