JAKARTA: During her time in the US, Singer Agnes Monica has worked in collaboration with American crooner Michael Bolton.
The starlet went to the US in February and was asked to do a duet with Bolton. Agnes sang Bolton’s hit “Said I love you but I lied” with him. The new single is slated to be in Bolton’s new album.
Agnes said doing a duet with an International star gave her a sense of pride. In the past year, Agnes has been working to launch an international career and appeared in the American Music Awards as one of the hosts last year.
Agnes said Bolton was supportive of her dream.
“He said it was positive and for him it was something that needed to supported,” Agnes said as quoted by vivanews.com. Agnes said Bolton gave her the freedom to sing in her own style.
“He let me be myself. We have special interpretations in the song that we sang and he always asked me [for my opinion]. We discussed everything together,” she said. —JP
