ANGERANG: The Banten Elections Commission (KPUD) has asked all candidates intending to run in the October gubernatorial election to submit their registration documents before the Aug. 18 deadline.

The KPUD also announced that so far four campaigns had registered to run in the race: Ratu Atut Chosiyah-Rano Karno, Wahidin Halim-Irna Narulita, Jazuli Juwaini-Makmun Muzzaki and Dwi Jatmiko-Tjetjep Mulyadinata.

All of the candidates were reported to have not submitted their wealth reports.

Also, Makmun, an employee at a state-owned enterprise, has yet to submit his letter of resignation.

KPUD commissioner Lukman Hakim said that the commission would set up 16,735 polling stations during the election.
