JAKARTA: Japanese graphic tablets producer Wacom Co
AKARTA: Japanese graphic tablets producer Wacom Co. Ltd. launched on Tuesday new product lines – Bamboo third generation and Cintiq 24HD – which will allow users to create, draw and edit digital images with greater ease and in more detail.
The Bamboo third generation product lines comprises three tablets of different sizes and varying capabilities: Bamboo Fun, Bamboo Pen & Touch and Bamboo Pen.
Cintiq 24HD is the newest addition to Wacom’s professional graphic tablet line, following on from the Cintiq 21UX and Cintiq 12WX. Unlike the Bamboo tablets, Cintiq has its own display, allowing users to apply the stylus directly to the image they are working on.
Joshua Siregar, marketing manager of Datascrip, Wacom’s official distributor in Indonesia, says Bamboo tablets are already available in Indonesia; priced at US$240, $135 and $95, respectively. The Cintiq 24HD is priced at $3,650 and will be available in late October or early November.
Joshua said that Wacom hoped that the new products would increase the company’s total sales in Indonesia to 9,000 units next year from this year’s target of 7,500 and last year’s 6,000.
