AKARTA: Jakarta Police finally located and brought home missing Trisakti University student Nadia Dwi Rachma, 22, after her mysterious disappearance last week.

Sr. Comr. Baharudin Djafar, spokesman for the city police, said that during questioning the student admitted that she had run away from home due to her failing her university course.

“She was supposed to have completed her studies in October. She was afraid to face her parents over the failure so she ran away,” Djafar said.

Nadia was found in a boarding room in Semarang, Central Java. She funded her trip using the money that she had been supposed to use to pay for her eighth-semester tuition fees.

Djafar said that the police decided to return the student to her parents and regarded the case as closed.
