Regent Ikmal Jaya of Tegal, Central Java, says that two alleged daughters of Tegal working in the US pornographic film business can come back home and find respectable jobs in the regency
egent Ikmal Jaya of Tegal, Central Java, says that two alleged daughters of Tegal working in the US pornographic film business can come back home and find respectable jobs in the regency.
“Jade and Nyomi Marcela, come home to Tegal. I’m waiting for you. I’ll help you find a job here if you are willing to leave America,” Ikmal wrote in a text message sent to The Jakarta Post over the weekend.
Ikmal said he was sorry to hear that the two women had made hundreds of pornographic movies in the US under the pseudonyms Jade and Nyomi Marcela.
“If that is true I would like to meet their parents or relatives who are living in Indonesia,” he told the Post.
Ikmal said he would give a reward to anyone who could provide him with the women’s addresses in the US.
According to reports – which are difficult to verify, given the nature of the adult film industry – the women are sisters whose parents were born in Tegal.
“I myself heard the news about Jade and Nyomi Marcela some weeks ago from friends in Jakarta. Later I found news about them printed in the Jakarta media. It really shocked and concerned me,” Ikmal said.
The regent is taking the issue seriously. On Saturday, Ikmal made an announcement through local media asking residents of Tegal to look for the women’s parents so he could “enlighten” them.
Ikmal said he would like to talk with the women’s parents directly and to talk with Jade and Nyomi, if there was a telephone number where they could be reached.
“I will ask them to come home to Tegal,” he said.
According to unverified information taken from several adult entertainment websites, the mother of the women is Balinese and their father is Javanese.
Jade was reportedly born on June 22, 1980 and Nyomi on July 9, 1981. Jade started her career in pornography when she was 18 and Nyomi followed soon thereafter.
