The NATO airstrikes that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers went on for almost two hours and continued even after Pakistani commanders had pleaded with coalition forces to stop, the army claimed Monday in charges that could further inflame anger in Pakistan.
NATO has apologized for the deaths in Saturday’s incident and promised a full investigation.
The coalition has yet to give its side of the story, but unnamed Afghan officials have said that a joint Afghan-NATO force on the Afghan side of the border received incoming fire from the direction of the Pakistani posts, and called in airstrikes.
Your comments:
I have been several times to Pakistan (I am a businessman). In 1980, it was second to the “South Korea” of Asia; now this country is in an extremely poor condition.
The US destroyed the foundation of this country and they want to destroy it further.
Sooner or later, the US will attack this country. They want to appease the powerful Jewish Lobby in the State Department.
Greece has a population of only 9.2 million, but they have debts of ¤367 billion (US$400 billion). Greece is a bankrupt country.
In contrast, Pakistan has received, I think, $8 billion during the last 10 years from the United States; 60 percent was spent on military operations against the Taliban. Do you mean the US has spent a lot of money in Pakistan?
This is simply not true. Obama is not even paying for the military operations in (Waziristan) northern Pakistan.
There are currently some 30 American accountants stationed in Pakistan to supervise the expenditure of Pakistan military operations.
I think the Americans should leave Pakistan forever. They have destroyed this country.
