ATAM: PT PLN’s Western Indonesia operations has agreed to extend cooperation for another three years with prosecutor’s offices in dealing with the state electricity company’s legal affairs.
The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) announced that prosecutors had managed to salvage Rp 35 trillion for the company last year.
The cooperation was signed by the heads of 10 provincial prosecutor’s offices and PLN’s representative in Batam on Friday
The 10 prosecutor’s offices are located in Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung, South Sumatra, Bengkulu and Lampung.
The cooperation aims to tackle legal issues faced by PLN in Western Indonesia.
PLN’s operational director Moch Harry Jaya Pahlawan said that the previous two-year cooperation had brought merit, with the company managing to evade losses from payment debts by customers.
