The latest ACI Passenger and Freight Flash Reports showed a year-on-year increase of 8.4 percent in Asia-Pacific airports.
Beijing (PEK) continued to record the highest passenger throughput in the region, with over 6.7 million passengers in May 2012. Tokyo Haneda (HND), with over 5.4 million passengers, came second and the other three airports in the top five were Hong Kong (HKG), Dubai (DXB) and Bangkok (BKK), all recording over 4 million passengers. Year-on-year growth in May compared to the same period last year for Asia-Pacific airports is 7.1 percent.
