witness who testified against gang leader and murder suspect John Kei has denied statements by the defendant accusing him of fabricating his testimony.
Kei said after his trial on Sept. 25 that the witness, Sait Tetlageni, used to be his “soldier” and that it would be impossible for him to understand the businesses handled by his “boss”. Kei also accused him of being a traitor.
“I’ve never been his soldier, and what I have said at the trial on Sept. 25 was all factual. I testified to reveal the truth, it came from my deepest heart to end all this violence,” Sait told reporters on Friday. Sait also demanded that biweekly magazine Konstan feature his clarification in its print edition that published a report of Kei’s statement. (fzm)
