AKARTA: Abdee “Slank”, lead guitarist of legendary local pop rock band Slank, praised the new recruits of Guns N’ Roses’ vocalist Axl Rose, saying that all of them were good musicians.

“It has been proven that Axl has a great nose. He could gather six great musicians under one roof. Good job,” Abdee said as quoted by kompas.com.

Guns N’ Roses currently comprises eight musicians, with Axl Rose on vocals, Ron “Bloomfoot” Thall on guitar, DJ Ashba on guitar, Frank Ferrer on drums, Dizzy Reed on keyboards and percussion, Tommy Stinson on bass, Chris Pitman on keyboards and Richard Portus on guitar.

However, Abdee acknowledged that the band’s first formation had more energy and charisma.

“It would have been different, for example, if we saw Slash at yesterday’s show,” he said.
